What is CMS?
CMS stands for Christian Musician Summit: a high-point, a gathering, a meeting place for Christian musicians.

What is the Christian Musician Summit conference all about?
The Christian Musician Summit is a conference for worship leaders, musicians, technicians, pastors, songwriters, and independent artists to improve skill and inspire talent. It features some of the best musicians in the industry as clinicians and performers. It features audio/video and music companies with products and services for the Christian church market. It's a time for musicians and technicians of all levels to come and learn, network and fellowship.

Is the Christian Musician Summit affiliated with any particular denomination or record label?
No, we are not affiliated with any particular Christian denomination or record label. We subscribe to what one might call the mainstream Protestant/Evangelical system of beliefs. To read our core beliefs and values, click here.
While we are not affiliated with any record label, we have wonderful relationships with a variety of folks... including: Integrity, WorshipTogether.com, Sparrow, EMI CMG, Maranatha, Vineyard, Word/Myrrh, Brentwood-Benson, and many more, as well as a variety of Indie labels.

What are all these other events and conferences listed on this website?
In addition to our flagship event which occurs annually in November at Overlake Christian Church, we also are proud to present the Songwriter Boot Camp, the Thriving Musician Summit, CMS@theChapel and CMS Southwest.

The fee does not cover any travel, lodging or food.

I have already registered. Do I get a registration packet or something?
We will mail out your Name Badge prior to the event. This will enable you to enter the facility without having to wait in a registration line.
The Songwriter Boot Camp badges will be available for pick-up at the event.

Can I register for just one day for the Christian Musician Summit?

Typically, the CMS@Overlake sells out, but iIf space is available during the LAST WEEK prior to the event, we will offer single day registrations. Please contact the Registrar for info. Thriving Musician Summit & CMS@theChapel will most likely have Single Day registrations... keep an eye on the website about 3-4 weeks out from the event.

I've purchased evening concert tickets. Will those be mailed out, or will I pick them up at Will Call?
We will be mailing out tickets as we draw nearer to the event. Folks who purchase tickets within 1 week of the event will pick their tickets up at Will Call. **All tickets at Thriving Musician Summit will be held in Will Call.
Can I attend the evening concerts without registering for the Summit?
Yes. Tickets for the "Concerts Only" will be available.

Are children allowed at the Summit?
The summit is geared toward adults and young adults. There will be a few exceptions to this rule as there are some very talented young people involved in ministry. If you have questions, contact us.
We ask that small children & infants not attend the conference workshops with parents, as they can, at times, be distracting to both other attendees as well as their parents. Thank you for understanding our policy on this.
Children may attend the concerts with their parents. Again, we ask that you be courteous to other concert goers by taking your youngsters to the cry room or the lobby when the need arises.

Should I bring my guitar to the Christian Musician Summit conference?
You may bring an acoustic guitar to the conference, however, it is not necessary. There will be a handful of workshops where having a guitar with you may come in handy. If you decide to bring your guitar, neither the CMS nor OCC is responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property. You must either carry it with you, leave it in your vehicle, or leave it in your hotel room. Many registrants have enjoyed having it available to them in their hotel room to work on techniques learned during the day.

What about Refunds or Cancellations?
If you are unable to attend, you have a couple of options. You can either switch over your registration to another individual, or you can contact us for an 90% refund. We need to retain 10% of the registration fee to cover various service fees.
Cancellations will not be refunded after 2 weeks prior to the event.
